A horse of a different color

“Most Americans agree that a president’s children should not be used as pawns in a political fight,” White House spokesman Jay Carney complains about this National Rifle Association commercial that mentioned Barack Obama’s daughters Malia and Sasha:

Meanwhile, here’s a pic of Obama signing a raft of executive actions on gun control:

Notice any glaring discrepancies? The different rules of engagement for trotting Obama’s children onto the political stage, as opposed to everyone else’s, make one wonder if the NRA was onto something when it asked, “Are the president’s kids more important than yours?”

Or, for that matter, when it called him an “elitist hypocrite.”
